On the outside it's just a barn/shack

It took almost 3 month to build it and it isn't finished yet on the outside.
On the left side when you go in you see a door:

It's beautiful, but is that a propane tank inside that I see? Not trying to give you a hard time, but not only is is illegal, it's dangerous. Please move it outside & be safe.

@ Lea: in Holland it isn't forbidden, to have a propane tank indoors.... at least not that I know of..., they also use it in caravans and other mobile homes. And they also use it a lot to barbeque or making snacks in hot oil. It's allowed inside and there is some safety advice about the pressure regulator, flexible hose and so on, always use a sealed tank.

not forbidden?.....it is still unwise.

It is very common in Europe (and not illegal) for tanks to indoors (cooking, etc) ... at least it was when I lived there. We had a big tank in the basement....

Nice studio!!

Heaven! What a bliss-full space!!! I know you guys get upset with the propane tank inside issue but you forget that your homes are mostly sealed up tight for the heating and air conditioning so therefore need extraction systems and air intakes. Here I only use an extraction fan for my torch area and I can open my windows with no worries about the elements. But I do have a fire extingusher and fire blanket plus I am in an old kitchen with tiled floors,

Cheers

Jenny

I also have my little tank in my basement/studio as well. have for years now. I also have a concrete floor, fire extinguishers, steel covered table, and a carbon monoxide detector. We use natural gas for heat so I have my detectors in the laundry/boiler room as well.

I haven't figured out why some people think it is such a safety hazard as compared to my natural gas heater. Frankly I more scared about that than my tank.

Perhaps someone could chime in with some accidents they know of?

natural gas is lighter than air so if a little bit leaks, it floats away. propane is heaver than air so it sinks to the basement floor where it stays. ventilation fans do little to get rid of it since they suck air much higher than the floor. if the propane builds up it can explode.

Thank you all for the nice comments and advice about the gastank.
I'll be very carefull, also have a fireextinguisher nearby.
And the view is great indeed, in the morning I can see the sun rise. And made some beads now, with some music, the dog in the corner (she wants to stay nearby), it's a very nice place to get some beadwork done.
Have a nice weekend everyone, kind regards and thanks again, Patrice
