I'm a noob too, but wouldn't agree with that statement ^^. A wigwag is a way of manipulating the glass to achieve a pattern. Then once you have the pattern you want, you switch the axis 90 degrees and that constitutes a reversal(which is really a misnomer because if it were just reversed, it would just be upside down). BUT, I've been wrong before.

I'm not sure, just guessing myself. I'll ask around and let y'all know what I find.

I met a real "fun guy" (wink, wink) about twenty minutes before shooting this video with my phone. Could be better, but I was working with a temporary handicap. You will most likely want to turn the volume down unless you like the way dubstep sounds when it's recorded on a phone. Pretty Lights was on stage.

Very pretty! I particularly like the swirl pattern at the end of your piece, Gary. Angelique

Mostly because it's been 100+ out here for days and I'd have to drag out Paul's big torch. I'll possibly do it in the dead of winter when all that heat can go to good use. Angelique

Hey everyone its been a long time since i last posted. Ive been moving and trying to get my muse back. I got it back from getting a large hole manderal to make my girlfriend a ring. Ive thought of making this ring for awhile now and only now decided how i actually want it now all i need is some goldstone lol. After that i remembered about a article in my glassline mag about candlestick holders now i have all this creative energy and no where to burn it lol. I also got my long awaited claw grabbers so as soon as i have a place to work ill be posting pics left and right maybe not all pipes but it will go good with the groove they make.

bummer, i saw you posted and hoped to see pics of your progress. this week when my midrange and another oxycon show up, i'll be delving into pipes. so far, out of 8 attempts i only produced 2 functioning pipes.
the others...just ornamental blobs of boro lol.

You just need to be patient with the glass. Think of it as water and just let it flow. Dont try and force it into shape it just wont work. And dont doubt yourself when you start know what you want and just dive in.

Here's a bub made from coil potted sections.

Now that I'm getting happier with my assembly I'm starting to practice my reversal work. Still sloppy. I was going for a flame look. A buddy showed me how a while back. His look much better.

Thanks. LePatron posted a great coil pot video a while back in the boro room. Probably two or three pages back.

Nice! You're getting some great colors popping on those. What size tubing are you using for the chillums?

I quit torching when it was in the 90's at night and the 114-117 range during the day. I did a LOT of seed beading. I'm glad you're able to torch again. I'm even happier I'm able to torch again. Angelique
