Default How long to heat up bead cube kiln?

I have had my beadcube kiln for about 6 months now, but only used it for batch annealing. Two programs were set by the seller, one for batch annealing (slow ramp up) and one for annealing as you go. I am now testing the 'as you go' program for the first time, as I am making marbles.
How long should it take to ramp up to the temperature at which it will hold (set at 520 C). It seems to be going very slow, and am wondering if anything may be programmed wrong.

it should take as long as it was programmed to take. there really is not set answer to your question, if you're not sure what the ramp speed is, there's no way to time it and compare to what it's set at.

are you on an extension cord? have you started using another piece of equipment on the same electrical circuit?

Thanks. As far as I understood, it is programmed to ramp up as fast as possible to the 520c, and then hold. So, no specific setting as to so much per hour. It took over and hour to get to 180, which seems very slow. I think the programming may be off, because on full blast, I think it should be quicker than for example an average household oven, right?
So perhaps instead of full speed ahead to 520, it is doing a programmed slower ramp-up, like for batch annealing. It is on an extension cord, but had no issues heating up (slowly) for the batch annealing.

Can you check the settings that are programmed into it? That does seem very slow.

Thanks again. Did not know I could check the settings, but now I do. Turns out, it was indeed programmed at a ramp up of 150c an hour. I changed it to 999c an hour. Also, turns out the soak time was also programmed wrong. It is going much quicker now. Going to check the other settings now as wel.
