pearlescent white??
Hi everyone! Does anyone know if there is a "pearlescent" white out there in the market. I'll decrease the chances of it being possible by wondering if it's COE 104 lol.
Or Maybe Bullseye has something like that?
Thanks in advance
Duane

I haven't heard of one, but I think there's a way to get that effect with mica powder. Pearl-x or whatever it's called.

Do you mean like a moonstone or opal or? There is a color that is similar to a moonstone if you work it properly. I can't rememeber what it is called (have never used it personally). ThreeMusesGlass has some wings she did in yesterday's S&T thread and I saw at least one wing with that color in it.
Edited to add: I did a quick search and found CIM Cirrus (that's the one I was thinking of) and another supposedly similar is CIM Halong Bay.

Thanks for the responses so far! I'm thinking a slightly struck Halong Bay over a touch of dichro could do the trick.

Good eye Misty! That was Cirrus!
Duane, Cirrus over dichro is very nice if you get the right run of Cirrus. I have some that turns white no matter what. This last batch is awesome.
Bullseye had their Mist series- white, pink and yellow. All those are more moonstone-ish, like the Cirrus.
These are the white Mist over...probably Robin Egg with a touch of dichro.

Those are gorgeous! That looks like probably what Duane is looking for? (I hope!)
Yay, I had a feeling it was Cirrus but wasn't positive, it just had that little bit of moonstone shimmer to them in the picture.

Rebecca, those are yummy!!
Duane, isn't Halong Bay bluish? I am pretty sure it was originally.

Thanks! Unfortunately it was a BE special production. CIM does have some nice moonstone types other than Cirrus, I just don't like using them with anything else. I have trust issues.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Roberta, yes it is bluish. I'm finishing up on a bracelet I made for a friend's daughter. The primary color is dark periwinkle. I have about two+ pounds of assorted BE that I have never used and I'm pretty sure there's some white mist in there.

Lauscha had moonstone colors out about 10 years ago if you can find them.

I have been playing a little with my Bullseye again, and I am finding them to be sorta opalescent especially when the application is thin compared to some of the 104 opaques. I think it would be really easy to make your own mixing them with clear because of that.
