Antique Scientific Apparatus

Part of my journey has been to study antique scientific apparatus, as a student of electronics I have the obvious fascination with electric discharge aparatus. However this question is not about those types of apparatus but rather the other fascinating device developed by Sir William Crooke, the Radiometer. I have figured out almost everything from a glass standpoint but I am at a loss on how to get the vanes inside the device. Right now my thoughts are to construct the vanes and the collar, insert them into the bulb then insert the glass spindle/bearing and somehow slide the vanes/collar onto the spindle. Once that part is assembled attach the bottom flange with the tungsten wire and evacuation tube to the bulb. Any ideas on my construction method? Am I making the correct approach? Is there a better way?

Sounds like it should work. Just be sure to anneal along the way to minimize the risk of checking during the final seal.

Some how I envision the classic " Ship in a bottle " technique of building parts long and arrow and then doing final assembly in the vessel.

Mad skill far beyond my reach either way.
