Best parallel bead mashers out there?
I'm looking for a really good set of mashers that will produce even, flat presses every time. What is your favorite and how can I get my mitts on a pair? Suggestions appreciated.

My fave press was made by Coon Valley (coonvallybpresses on Ebay). http://shop.ebay.com/coonvallybpress...&_trksid=p4340
He doesn't have any listed but he does custom orders.

If you're referring to what CoonVallyB calls 'the Masher', I've got them in stock:

(scroll down about half way)
I also carry TradesBear's 'Bead X-Press':

I don't have these, but I saw them at Bead Fest and I would love to have them. You can get different shape and patterned graphite pads fo them.

Trey Cornette has a brass masher that works great for larger beads. I don't see it on his website but try contacting him thru www.treycornette.com.

The masher that Trey uses is being made by Burning Brass. It consists of the bench marver:
http://www.burningbrass.com/index.ph...index&cPath=84
and the hand held masher:
http://www.burningbrass.com/index.ph...roducts_id=292
http://www.burningbrass.com/index.ph...1f4443734562a1
I seem to remember that there used to be little clips that attached to the hand held masher. These acted as spacers, giving you consistent thickness mashes (is that a word?) each time. I don't see the spacers any more. So now, you're going to have to come up with your own spacers (you'll need 3 or 4 of them. You can use just about anything, as long as they are all the same thickness).

You can use my masher with a graphite plate as well. They come with spacers that attach and you can do 8mm and 14mm with that spacer. Spacers of other thicknesses will be available in the future.
It will give you a perfect flat tab every time on beads as large as 6 inches long and 4 inches wide.
It does go great with my benchtop marver as well.
Give me a bit and I will upload a picture.
