5 Dollar Organizer Tin at Michaels
It's not obvious to anyone who knows me, but I love organization "stuff". (The Container Store is one of my favorite places!) So I was excited to find these little gems at Michaels the other day, and for only five bucks:
Of course, I had no idea what I was going to put in it when I bought it, but then it hit me: It's the perfect size for storing murrini. The clear tops of the little containers inside make it perfect for that, and it's metal so it wouldn't be likely to be damaged by flying hot glass on a workbench. It would also be nice for holding a special collection of beads; I'd probably cut little circles of some kind of cushioning material for the insides.

Most of them are not, Squid, no. I tested all of them, and only found two that I'd consider tight. The rest slide off pretty easily.
This wouldn't be a problem if they were closed inside the larger tin, since they don't have enough room to open up in there. Once they're out, though, I wouldn't expect them to stay shut if knocked on the floor, etc.

I use these a lot, but the lids are not very tight fitting. So for murrine and so forth, they're awesome. For frit....not so much.
Lee Valley sells them too, they have bigger sizes as well.

I got some similar to that from Widget Supply to store my enamels from the sample pack that I bought. I love them for their clear lid so I can see all the colors at once.
Here's the set I bought: http://www.widgetsupply.com/page/WS/...ner/SFB5-87512
