Default Adjusting firing programs for ceramic fiber kilns

So...I have a Chili Pepper. That is the kiln the original annealing will take place in. Subsequent striking firings will happen afterwards in a firebrick Skutt kiln. This is because I get the heebie jeebies thinking about lifting the lid on it while it's on, since the elements are in the lid.
So, any thoughts on adjusting an annealing schedule on a kiln that loses heat faster than a firebrick kiln? Is slower ramping down the gist of it?
