I have wasted more glass trying to capture an image i have in my mind, but i just cant make it happen, anyone have any luck with making something that resembles the aurora borealis? I will try to post an image of a few dismal attempts but i really dont want to! they are duds

maybe an inclusion of silver glass, in a wig wag pattern. Clio or luna or something that has a whispy color when struck lightly and encased, over a night sky base of whatever you want, cobalt blue/dark purple/blue adventurine streaky mix? whatever you want to use.

Do you have Amy's tutorial on 'storming glass'? I haven't tried to make Northern lights that way, but I think her process would be a great starting point and then just experiment with the best colors.

I haven't tried this, but I think maybe veiled cane would work like a charm.

I'm not sure exactly the look you are trying to achieve. I like to use stormed stringers kind of haphazardly placed over silver glass. This one is stormed Olympia Rain over Ekho encased.

This one is probably stormed OR over Aura encased.

This is stormed OR over unreduced Triton encased.

This one doesn't use my techniques, it's just Hades, silver foil and encased.

Any of those close to what you had in mind?

Thanks Leslie!

I had to come back and find this thread to see if any of us helped the OP. Did we? I guess she never came back...
