goldstone or brownstone?
the goldstone chunk looks soo pretty but when I pulled some stringer it looked brown on the beads. Not the pretty gold I was going for. I did try encasing it also and then pulling stringer- same deal. What am I doing wrong??!?

I did the same thing first time I used it. You have to keep it cool so you don't burn the sparkle out. You can see it burning when you heat it too much - it almost looks like devit does when it it pitting. I pulled some nicely sparkly goldstone stringer this weekend by gathering up a bunch of chunks in a round blob, encasing the blob and then pulling it. The key is keeping it cool until you have it completely encased. hope this helps

Try encasing with rubino oro. Keep your flame on the oxygenated side so it doesn't reduce. The rubino really enhances the goldstone. Jeri

Encasing with topaz is also very nice.

Kristen Frantzen Orr showed us encasing goldstone with rubino. That was cool too!
