I just made a spider bead yesterday! I did a simple round black bead and added a black blob to the back side for the butt and melted in. Then took a black stringer and stuck it to the top of the spider and bent the stringer to make it look like a leg then I added 7 more legs and 2 white dots for the eyes! Simple and boy was he cute! I'll have to make him a girl friend! Good luck on those tuts!

I put mine on lentils, as you can see, I lay down lines for the legs using stringer, then add some good sized dots, leaving the tail-end dot bigger for the body.

Just a small technical note...spiders have 8 legs.

I did a spider pendant and matching earrings for a customer earlier this year. I didn't take any pics though I basically did what the others did, but I found it easier to do the legs first and then add the body and head on top, being careful not to melt the legs down flat. It looks like Melissa did that for hers too. The customer liked it a lot.

This is kinda cruddy because I made it way too fast. I wanted to get just one more bead in before I had to get my daughter from her nap but I think you will get the point!! One is the front and the other is a side view!

Wink Spiders

Here are the spiders I made yesterday.

ON this one the legs are multicoloured twisties. I did not like the way they turned out.

On this one, I used encased black stringer (Actually pulled filligrana) Lay down the legs first, all 8 radiating from a central area. Then I used a drk Purple transparent for the body and the head. In real life it looks really cool.
I was trying something different with the head but I like the head placement and shape on the first on the most.

Aw thanks Karen! I made these, but they're not "mine"-I think I saw them here on LE, but don't recall whose they are

Hi there!! Here are some samples of spiders that I have made in the past

I basically made 4 (although I know they have more legs than that, LOL) "v"s on a bead with a super thin stringer and then laid two dots (one smaller than the other) next to each other, pressed them in gently and this is the result :0) laid some white for the eyes and finished it off with teeny tiny dots of black.

For the eyes on this one I used the same concept as the eyes above except for a mini plunge layered with clear :0)

Hope this helps!!!
Ileana

I liked the color of the back on the first spider. Kind of purple/lavender. You could make a red dot on the belly for a black widow. Of course, it would have to be a transparent black widow.

These are great! I'm terrified of, yet fascinate by spiders! I will definitely have to try to make some! I especially liked Kramdas. I think they are overlapping dots? Genius!
