Default Recreating a Jar

I got a call and an email from a man who wants this jar (which was broken) recreated for his girlfriend. It is very sentimental to him and he would like two jars made. (I'm a sucker for a love story.)

It is approximately 3 inches tall by 1 and a half inches wide and he says it is soft glass. It is purple with murinni at the bottom, the inside is white and it is encased in clear. I do not blow glass but I'm wondering if I could try to do this with a small blowtube and my Cuda.

Would it be easier to do it with boro or soft? I'm assuming boro would be more forgiving to me. How would I do it?

If I can't do it, would anyone be interested in making this for him?

Thanks for any help, Lana

After doing some research, looks like this could be done with the "rollup method" of softening glass sheets in a kiln, rolling it into shape and then finishing the shape with a torch.

If anyone has any experience with this method and would like to share, please post here. Thanks, lana

Looks like some production work....Its a small gather over white, black powder then rolled over the milli's on a mavering bench...back into the glory hole,etc..

I have worked with different types of black tubing and have gotten great results and some not so good! lol It doesnt seem to difficult.

on a cuda? I cant tell you.
