Default Eyes in perfect shape!

I wanted to post this somewhere for those who have been a little fearful of what lampworking is doing to their eyes. I was lampworking for over 20 years, first with sunglasses, then didymiums, then Aura lens glasses. I have used small and large torches over that time. I've been having problems with dry eyes again recently, so I decided to go to the #1 eye hospital in the US for an evaluation. (My dad went blind because of macular degeneration and a couple of other things, thus my concern) I was sent to a cornea specialist and her verdict was.....I RARELY GET TO SEE SUCH HEALTHY EYES! I do have dry eyes, due to the fact that I am a woman and my age, plus the lasik surgery I had in 2002 (vision still 20/20 in both eyes). So, I thought some of you may be interested, but, however, your mileage may vary!

Thank you for sharing! I'm in the process of doing all the research to set up my studio and my husband was wondering about possible eye damage. Glad your eyes are so healthy
