Tool question - waffle texture
I've searched around for the last few days - with limited success.
I'm looking for mashers that would apply a waffle/grid texture.
I see that Jim Moore has some, and I saw some at ABR, but the pattern on those is much larger than what I'm looking for.
Anybody know of anything like this????

I don't know of anything like that but I did use a meat tenderizer once and got some interesting patterns...and yeh, that would be me shopping in the kitchen store not because I cook but because they have cool tools to work with glass...

I don't know if you are still looking, but I have a grid texture: http://www.zooziis.com/gridtextureplates.aspx
It is used with the texture base: http://www.zooziis.com/basefortexturetools.aspx
And you can add shape plates to make crisp shapes, if you want, but it can be used without the shapes for a "free form" bead. http://www.zooziis.com/shapeplates.aspx
Additional shapes will work with the same base and shape plates, so it's inexpensive to add on: http://www.zooziis.com/textures.aspx
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Lynda, in this thread http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=127025 the OP refers to the pliers she uses as Klein Tools.
I found some on-line here (I've had this bookmarked for a while ) http://www.acetoolonline.com/Klein-P...ers-s/7816.htm
I also found similar pliers at Ace Hardware, Lowes and Home Depot.
I don't know if this is what you're looking for...

Thank-you for the suggestions, I'll have to check these out. I'm hoping one of them is a fine enough (yet deep) texture for what I'm thinking of

CoonValley presses on ebay makes one. If you don't like the one he regularly makes, you can give him your specs and he will make one for you.

Thanks Jody. Hi Lynda,
I do have a small handheld one where you can texturize all over the bead in whatever shape you have made. Here is the link where you can find it. http://www.leonardolampwork.com/leon...-and-tools.htm
