Default Kristina Logan in Maine July 11-12, 2009

Playing with Fire! -- Rockland, Maine
Kristina Logan two-day workshop:
Beadmaking -- Taking the next step!
Saturday and Sunday, July 11th & 12th, 2009
--- $450 (lunch included)

"This workshop is designed for people who would like to expand upon their flamework beadmaking skills. If you have questions or difficulties with any beadmaking techniques, then this is a great workshop for you! A broad spectrum of techniques will be explained and demonstrated - various surface decorations, dots!, clear casing, working large beads, and trouble shooting common mistakes and difficulties."

It is Kristina's goal to have each student develop a deeper understanding of glass beadmaking through working on the next level of their own work. Kristina has a real gift in her ability to teach to all levels of students. Kristina will concentrate on each individual's needs and help them move forward in their own beadmaking. All levels of students are welcome. Students will be expected to have had a foundation in the basics of beadmaking prior to class.

Materials: Students are encouraged to bring their favorite 104 coe glass, and frit to work with in class. Bring your own Didymium glasses (or use ours), favorite handtools, a notebook and pen. You may also bring your own torch, if it is equipped with quick connects... or use ours.

To Register:
Please call 207-594-7805 to reserve your seat, and please download our Class/Workshop enrollment form >>click here, and mail with your payment by check or credit card, or Fax your form to us with your credit card info. Please do call to reserve your space.

As an added bonus: The North Atlantic Blues Festival will be taking place in Rockland during this weekend of Kristina's class. We can often hear the music floating down to the studio from Harbor Park! more info

We need more students if this class is going to run!

As you may know, Kristina's class at Bead&Button this past week has been wait-listed for months! Here's your chance! And where else could you possibly want to be in July but with Kristina on the coast of Maine???!!

Please call us to register: 207-594-7805

Oh no! Virginia, I hope you are able to fill the class. Having been in 2 of her classes at your studio, I can sure swear she's a fantastic teacher!

Perhaps we can convince Sue to make a guest appearance?!

We still have some seats available kids, and guess what?... the Boston Chapter has made a 1/2 scholarship available, soooooo how cool is that?!

Yowzers! That's great on the 1/2 scholarship! If I was in that chapter, I'd be all over that scholarship.

For me, I'm tapped out right now. I have been priviledged to take two classes from Kristina but I'm saving for 1-2 other classes coming to PWF this year. (Granted, I have a grant request in for one of them but til I get that, I'm saving!)

Hope this class fills FOR THE STUDENTS SAKES. Kristina is too good a teacher to miss!

We still have a few seats left! If you missed out when Kristina taught at Bead and Button... HERE'S your opportunity!

It will be a great weekend for glass people here in our studio---we have Kristina! AND multiple states represented on the student list! AND an international student as well!

And for friends and family that might want to tag along on the trip... it's the North Atlantic Blues Festival weekend--a really BIG blues festival -- two days of blues at Harbor Park as well as club crawls, and street bands! And the coast of Maine is just a lovely place to be in July!

To register: please give us a call at 207-594-7805, and then download and remit the completed enrollment form.

Has the Boston Chapter given out the scholarship yet? I just joined last Saturday. Would it be tacky for me to apply for it?

I hate to miss any class put by Kristina Logan!

Are you full yet?

Sue
