Default Holly Cooper in Austin, Texas Sept. 26th-27th, 2009

Holly Cooper at Blue Moon Glassworks in Austin, Texas
Sept. 26th & 27th, 2009
Tuition $395.00

This is an intermediate class focusing on stringer control and design.
I will show you the techniques I use to create intricate detailed patterns on a small glass surface.

I'll be showing how I manipulate fine stringers using simple tools and techniques as well as discuss the properties of glass as it relates to the making of stringers that hold an intricate pattern.

I will also demonstrate and discuss surface design elements such as:
rhythmic pattern, negative and positive space, color, scale and proportion, bead shape and its relationship to the design, and modular pattern development. I use modular development as a means of creating a complex design within a simple framework. I will demonstrate step by step how I achieve this in my beads.

Holly works on a Hot Head torch but you will have a choice of torches to work on.

I agree. Holly is an awesome teacher. Just watching the way she controls glass was totally inspiring.

I just wanted to add that I took a two day class with Holly and it was amazing.
Anyone that has half a chance to take her class should jump on the opportunity.
