I just signed up to sell. I can't wait to go after meeting Patty in Tucson, she is such a kick..!!! I haven't been to the Expo since 1995 when I lived in Las Vegas, so it will be fun to go back and see all the changes the show has made. I'm told it's an awesome show. If you get to the show, stop by and say hello!

Thinking seriously about it right now. I've been before for classes and shopping and love the show, but is it worthwhile as an exhibitor, considering the booth cost, travel expenses, etc. in this economy? Things may be better or worse or just the same as today by April, but based on your experience last year, is this a good show to make expenses and profit?

We just got the hard copy of the catalogue. The list of classes is amazing and I think the flame-off will be riveting. This year I hope to bring my son to man my booth, I'm sure he will be totally absorbed by the flame-off. I love this show, it's a great venue and the students quickly turn into old friends. Jeri

Hey you guys...can you help me out with the name of a GC Expo vendor (probably a regular - but last year was my first visit, so I'm not sure...)?

I purchased some darling froggies - they are quite distinctive looking - they had TONS...some on little "bumps" of glass, but I also bought a long ornament with a froggie on it, too. I even see that in the online informational link for the upcoming GC Expo, a photo of their Froggie Chess Set is pictured in the thumbnails, Picture #9 (scroll down near the bottom of the page) in this link - the blue and yellow set:

http://www.glasscraftexpo.com/

I've been talking them up in this thread, where JessicaJane (at Post #13) is interested in buying a set from them for her Dad:

http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...07#post2173607

Can anyone recall who these artists are and what their company name/website is? If so, please post!

Thanks so much,
DeAnne

Well looks like I get to be your hero today!!
Is this what you are looking for? I took this pic in april at the vegas show.

You can contact the handsome, charming guys from Boise Art Glass - Filip Vogelpohl and Chris....don't know his last name off the top of my head.
Good luck!

Woo Hoo!!! That's it, Toni!!! Thanks so very much...I'll shoot JessicaJane a PM to pop over here and check it out!!!

I've found their site - it doesn't have the Chess Set listed, but I'm sure an inquiry can be made by any seriously interested buyer!

Thanks again~~~

I missed this year, and I really want to go again next year. It's so much fun. I doubt I could get a table in the bead section this late in the year, unless they had a cancellation. Maybe 2010 if I plan ahead. I'm not planning on any classes yet, although they have some excellent ones. I'll have to look through the catalog again. Deb Crowley is on my list.

Yeah, I can't wait - I always look forward to the show. It is so much fun.

I'll be teaching 2 classes this year - a beginner's beadmaking and my metals & dichro class.

Such a nice show and great group of folks. Hope to see ya all there!

Just wanted to let everyone know we still have floor space available for the Annual Glass Craft & Bead Expo here in Las Vegas. We have table top and 10 x 10's. We have expanded our show floor and bead bazaar for 2009.

Also Patty, if you're checking in here, several of us up here in Canada did not receive the 'book'...I went to re - register for it, but it said I was already on the mailing list. Last year and the year before, it came ok, but not this year.
