silver wire question
this is probably an old question that has been answered a hundred times but please bear with me!! I'm old!!
What's the trick to getting the silver wire NOT to have little spikes on it. I've tried waving it thru the flames several times and that helps but I seem to always end up with at least one spike (pointy edge, rough spot know what I mean??). I love the look of the wire but who wants beads that are going to pull on your clothes???
thanks for any advise!!

very small gauge seems to work best (30) 28 and 32 as well
Add it at the end of the bead
Melt in gently, further out in the flame - take some time to get a good heat base in the bead
press in slightly with a marver
reheat gently
Any extreme heating for me causes pointy pieces and pitting near the silver
