Where to Purchase Mandrels?
Hi, I am a newbie, and I am addicted to lampwork beads. My question is...where can I purchase square and triangle shaped mandrels?

Hi Penny
I have no idea where you could purchase such mandrels, but I'm really curious to know why you could want them?! Such a shape would implicate that it's going to be difficult to get the beads off those mandrels...
Greetings
Martina

Martina,
Actually I have used these mandrels before at the shop where I took classes last yr. Inspirations Tools (I think) used to make them, but has stopped production. Taking the bead off the mandrel was really not an issue either. Kimberly Adams, (The Complete Book of Glass Beadmaking) has made some really kool looking earrings in the past from them. Thanks for your input.

I would be interested as well. But not for glass. I would like it for wirework.

you can buy sterling wire in square, round, half round, flat, triangle - you name it and if you want a particular size or shape use a draw bar
