I don't think Moretti silver pink is a silvered glass like you're thinking . . . . but I could be wrong. I've used it once or twice and usually it's just a soft pink for me.

Yep, as Kimberly said, it's not a flashy glass, but it's an incredibly versatile base for all kinds of fun reactions and effects.

I use it the same way that I use opal yellow; as a base to play on.

Just wondering, how you get this glass to turn pink? its just staying cream for me. I am on a fireworks torch. The end of my rod has a few pale pink stripes but my bead is just plain cream. I also don't have a kiln (yet), I don't know if that makes a difference. Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks Caroline

When in doubt, try to strike

Silver Pink is a very, very beautiful glass, I really love it a lot

I know everyone is saying that its just called silver pink but every time I used it, the pink disappeared and the glass looked like chrome or that "silver black" that devardi has that turns completely silver.

I now know from reading this that I have to strike it to make it pink but all those metals in the pink have got to affect a whole lot of colors... Im gonna go try it out

Thanks for this thread, I didn't know it could be struck to get more pink either.
I did do some tests with intense black dots, and they webbed like crazy!

What Kimberly sez! It's been around forever, it is one of my very favorites for neutral backgrounds on garden beads...lovelovelove it!

This is an old bead, but I like it with Copper Green, TerraNova2 and Ink Blue.

It's my go-to glass, along with Opal Yellow. I find it not to be reactive but very stable, so it works well with every other color.
