Default BHB caps

I would like to make some bead caps and stamp them.

Could someone direct me to where I might find the information on the size of the alphabet punch sizes? 1.5mm, 2mm? I am confused.

Thank you.

wow, 64 looks and no replies.

I figured this would be a slam dunk.

Maybe someone will chime in.

I think you can find the letter stamps at harborfreight.com or riogrande.com. I know there are a few ladies that sell the metal circles that can be made into caps on Etsy. Hopefully they'll chime in

I would guess that either size would work well, it just depends on how many letters/words will be stamped on the cap and how big the caps are too I think. Sorry I can't be of more help -

I think for bead caps I would try to stick to letters that are 4mm to 6mm. Also, Beaducation has some lovely letter stamps and I would also look on eBay and Etsy in general as it looks to me like prices on these stamps have been dropping. I've been watching that market for awhile because I want some but wanted to wait for the wave of interest from jewelry makers to wane and I think that's starting to happen IMO.

When you make your caps measure your surface width and then I'd deduct 1mm from each edge. Also, if you're doing BHBs and coring remember to allow for the surface the core will cover.

HTH!
