They are:

Exotic Metal Glasses
Beginner, Intermediate Adults– Students must have completed a beginning lampwork class

Do you love the glasses from Double Helix, TAG and more but can’t get the colors or affects you want? This class will de-mystify working with these fabulous but tricky glasses.
Students will work with a variety of metal glasses learning the steps to achieving fabulous colors. They will create a set of “recipe” beads to use for reference in their own studios. Class will discuss the techniques of striking and reduction work and how to use these techniques to build colors with success.
Basic beadmaking skills – including thin even casing will be reviewed. Students should bring their own favorite tools (including a marver and long nosed pliers) eyewear, roll of blue painter’s tape, 12+ small zip lock bags and a notebook. Students should wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

Spring Quarter (2 days) May 25 &26 10am – 5pm
Tuition: $240 (member)/$250 (non-member)
Materials Fee: $50.00


Victorian Flowers
Beginners, Adults 18+
No torch experience needed. This class will explore the old Victorian method melting glass in a torch to create flowers and other decorative objects on a metal wire. Students will create flowers, buds, leaves on individual wires. Instructor will demo other ways this technique can be used to create lightweight pendants, charms and more.
Basic torch techniques and safety will be covered.

Summer Quarter (1 day) June 30 (10am – 5pm)
Tuition: $150 (Member) & $160 (Non-Member)
(Materials fee $25.00)


Flameworking for Fusers
Beginner, Adults 18+
Instructor: Lisa St. Martin

This class is designed for fusers who want to take their creativity to another level. Students will work melting 90 COE (Bullseye) glass on a torch to create petal, leaves, dots, stringers, twisty canes and more to add to their fused glass art. Students will work with glass rods – but also scrap sheet glass so they can put all their leftover pieces to good use. Students will make a tool for creating circles and spirals out of boro glass to add to their toolbox.
Basic torch techniques and safety will be covered.

Summer Quarter July 21 (10am – 5pm)
Tuition: $150 (Member) & $160 (Non-Member)
Materials fee: $25.00. All supplies will be provided. Students should wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Bring a notebook. Students may bring any 90coe scrap glass they would like to use.
