I love the frit-latticino, I have always thought it was much more complicated.

Thank you!

Great Video! I love making these. Here is a link to some more pictures of frit twistys. I think the WC thread is long gone, major bummer to lose so much information over there. http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...t=frit+twistys

Crazydays, great beads! For me, darker or more intense colours work best.
Dawn, thanks for the link!

I just made one in boro white gets a little boiley for me at that size. The heat needed was a challenge for the glass. kiln wasn't all that hot. I'll cross my fingers. I liked it on the madrell.
Thanks again

Verena,
Thank you for showing this technique -- I'd missed it in the past, and made latticino with stringers. This frit method is great, and looks much easier! Next time I torch, this will be first on my list to try.

Cheryl, with this method you get quicker results, but the frit-latticino will not be as even as the regular one.
Crazydays, great work! When pulling the fritocino try twisting more and pulling less, then you will get even more of that "lace" effect. Also when applying the fritocino on the bead try to just lay it on the bead and not pull it anymore.

Verena, can I ask how you get the 2 colorways like in your 1st bead? I'm going to guess that you do it in 2 layers?

Thanks for sharing this! Very cool!

Lea, I used a fritblend, so the 2 colours where there in the frit already. Only 1 dipping and encasing. Really easy!

I didn't get the same definition in my lattichino that you did. Not sure where I went wrong. Would love any suggestions you may have. Still very happy. It's a fun & easy process.

Here's what came out of the kiln today. The one on the left was my 1st attempt. The right, my last. There was another in between, but I cooked the snot out of it, so not very pretty.
