Your studio space is great, nice light! I love the wrap around counter tops. Enjoy!

Nice! If I were close I would definitely be crashing your studio. Still working on mine.

Lovely space, and what a wonderful part of the country to live in. Visited there a few years back. Bought jewelry downtown.....gold quartz rings which I just love.

Your floor is wonderful, but I would put something down to protect from hot glass.....ask me how I learned this LOL! Dianne

Thank you for all the wonderful comments. i love being able to SEE the colors on the transparent rods on the window sills. it was a whopping 37 degrees in there this morning.

Dianne, there are hard plastic "under your desk chair" sheets on the fake wood floor by the torch. i also have a water bottle with sprayer and a fire extinguisher near by. living in, right IN, the forest makes me hyper sensitive about fire.

Great studio set up!!!! I also like the light passing through your glass- I think you get a lot fewer small quakes up there in the foothills. We get enough here, that even though you don't feel most of them, things on shelves move, so I would have to put museum gel or putty under the jars to hold them on the window sills here!

I was just by there a few weeks ago, went to Rocklin and then over to Arrowsprings...

Ok, is your vent hood a stock tank?

Kirsti: i wish we could have connected when you went to Arrow Springs. Actually when you are there you are still a good 3 hours from my house. i am wayyyyy up in the high sierras, google Cromberg, CA. anyhow. yes in dee dee a snappy stock tank it is. i figured it was going to be less expensive than having somebody make a fume hood. i had a local sheet metal plumbing co. adapt it and hang it. there was a tut on line, probably LE, that gave step by step directions so you could do it yourself. i don't have the bill yet so can't say what the tank cost, maybe $100? it is the 4 foot size. i want to have 2 torch stations so needed the bigger hood. come back.

If you search for my post on my latest studio build you will find details regarding how I adapted a stock tank. It's actually pretty easy to do yourself with minimal tools.

the stock tank wasn't cheap but probably less expensive than a sheet metal worker and more efficient than a range hood. should have taken the label off.............

I purchased my feed trough from quality farm and fleet for around $80. Here's the link of how I did it back in 2007. http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...ht=Feed+trough
