Question acetylene question

I know this is used for welding but is it used for glass as well?
Just curious. Husband got a welding kit and a large tank of it. I thought...hmmmm a larger supply?

Nope, that gas is too dirty for working glass. I have heard of people who have tried it, but I haven't heard of anybody who has used it successfully. Of course there is probably someone out there who has been able to make it work, but I wouldn't mess with it. Hey, better leave your hubby's toys alone or he may decided to invade your glass space and use you glass torch for fixing the care one day.

Well, we tried it once (boyfriend was curious)! It burns the glass black so don't waste you time!
