I group into fours and use my packing tape gun on them. Works great.

I do the same. Works like a charm.

PVC glue. Small can with the brush built in. Makes a permanent bond. Simple and quick.

Hey, when you say your shelves have "no sides" are you talking about steel shelving? I cut my pvc rail to 15" so that it is held in place by the shelf risers, since they are 14" apart. Works great.

Ha! I should have used some of that!
I like the tape because it will allow me to reconfigure the bundles if I change shelving systems at some point. Today mine are in cubbies.

Yes to flame Duct tape! I glued some of mine, and wish I had just taped them all. You have the option of changing your configuration if you tape.

I just use the rectangular fence posts and a little double sided tape between them. I only secure them from top to bottom; I don't bother to secure each stack from left to right as they sit next to each other. The weight keeps them from moving.

I have not assembled mine yet (haha-too lazy I guess) but was thinking of using area rug pads (that rubbery stuff with holes that you put on the floor under rugs to stop them from sliding around). It's durable, slip resistant, cuts easily with scissors, no sticky mess like duct tape and no glue. The weight should hold the whole thing together I think.

Depends on how many sections of PVC you need to hold together. I have quite a few, but built a very basic frame on legs so I could store stuff underneath, glued about 3 pieces PVC together at a time (in case I ever wanted to move them to another spot I didn't want them all stuck together!), then stacked them in the wood frame (which has a base on top of the legs, a piece up the side and a piece of wood across the top and then put a bracket on the top piece of wood to anchor to the wall). I don't have woodworking experience so it really is basic.
Storage to the left on the floor again I glued 3 sections together and stacked - but this stack is not in a frame, just loose.
Sorry - can't get picture to load the right way up!!!!
