Download Photo fixing program

I have no photo shop nor anything else on my laptop to edit pictures. Can anyone suggest a real easy program to download? Also for showing pictures such as on facebook, yourwebsite or etsy, what is the size I need to make my pictures. Thank you and a Happy Hoiday to you all.

I use GIMP. It's take a little getting used to but once you do it works great.
Etsy suggests that your pictures be about 1000 which is what I pretty much use for FB too. For LE I use 600x400 but that's still pretty huge on the screen.
