Default A friend asked me to make her a horse bead. Ideas?

I'm okay at sculptural techniques...really pretty skilled at most things but not so good at making animals. Does anyone have any tips as to how I might make a horse--more realistic than cartooney, is my preference.

Whole horse, or just the head?

Good question! I was thinking just the head, but actually the whole horse works too.

I worked at trying horse beads a while back. It was hard! I pretty much did it the way in the picture link. I wish I had seen it first, it took a lot of practice just to get this..

I don't think I need to say to do the ears last! I did the eye's second to last but I was using a hothead back then and usually messed up at the eyes..I never did get good at putting on the actual eyelid.

Good luck! This thread makes me want to try again!
