This is how I make dichro twisted canes!
Once you have the dichro backed (with clear or any color), curl up the backing glass so it covers the edges, then you can work it into any complex cane you can imagine. My latest favorite is using a dark opaque as the backing color, then heating the back of the backing and laying on another color of dichro (heat & press slowly to avoid trapping air). Stripe both sides of your "sandwich" then encase the whole thing with clear or a light transparent. Heat up the mass slowly, then pull & twist. Tada, twisted dichro ribbon!
