Annealing Effetre Beads with 96 COE frit?
Am I doomed?
Here's what I did: Effetre base, with a layer of Effetre transparent, then rolled in a layer of 96 COE frit.
I also made beads with a black or white Uroboros base, rolled in frit, then encased with Uro clear.
Annealing questions:
Can I anneal the Effetre and 96 COE frit beads with an Effetre firing schedule or do I need to adjust it?
What is the annealing schedule for batch annealing Uro?
Thank you!

I have done this with no problems, with the beads rolled in frit. I used the effetre schedule.

What Phyliss said. Although I don't let the beads touch each other cuz they may stick.

Maybe a dumb question here but here goes...what are the reason(s) for wanting to use the 96 COE frit - better selection of frit, color(s) not available with the Effetre?
I'm a newbie, trying to learn as much as possible about applying frit, looking for used bead annealer, etc.

Phyliss and Jayne - thank you for your replies!
Ken: I fell in love with the frit color blends from this website and haven't found anything in Effetre that are comparable:

Ken:
Frit blends tend to use glass with a higher lead content. The higher lead content enables them to be "compatible" with a wider range (90 - 104 COE) of glass.

Thanks!
Thanks FlameChick and Jenn, we're going to a shop having a customer appreciation day and sale this weekend and I hope to pick up some frit for starters; also will check the website you listed.
I was under the impression that the COE was so critical, including frit. I use a Hot Head, will that be hot enough to use this type of frit? Also, would I be best off to hold off until I can pick up a small kiln for annealing? I know the frit is quite pricy and the beads placed in those blankets are more prone to breaking by the mandrel, etc.
Thanks, Ken

Ken - I use a HH, and yes it can easily melt in the 96 COE frit. I'm not an expert on COE's so hopefully someone more knowledgable than I will answer, but you can use 96 COE frit on top of Moretti as long as you keep it under a certain percentage - can't remember what it is, but I want to say 10 or 15%, and you don't encase the frit.
