Price of Sterling finding?
Does anyone know what the wholesale price is for Sterling Silver nowdays? I have SO much to get rid of but need a starting point:

Remember the market price or spot price is a theoretical price for clean .999 fine silver in an "unformed" state. Sterling is .975, so technically would sell for a bit less, but there is also a fabrication charge for making it into sheet and wire (or findings, or whatever). Actually, even for making it into casting grain.... so usually if you price sterling at silver market prices, you're still going to be below the wholesale price for whatever it is you're selling. The Rio site has a good description of how you can estimate the amount you will get from what you send in. Also remember that any scale you use will likely measure imperial ounces. Silver prices are for troy ounces. You can google a conversion rate.
