Default Even Chamilia Beads

I am trying to make some Chamilia style/size beads for my Daughters birthday in 10 days time and I am getting really frustrated. I have purchased 6mm mandrels so I can glue the silver studs in. There is soooo little glass to go on the mandrel if I am to keep true to the "authentic" Chamilia bead size.

So, your help please!...... does anyone have any tricks they could share with me for how to get so little glass "even" on the mandrel.

The answer is probably just my inexperience with glass, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
