I did extensive research before purchasing my bead corer. Deliberated for literally about 8 months, participated in threads here on LE, watched lots of youtube videos. I settled on the Jim Moore and I'm glad I did. It's easy to use and I love the fact that you can buy the dapping attachment for making bead caps. However, I will also say that the runner up for me was the Impress, which I hear nothing but rave reviews over. Honestly, I'd be glad to use either one.

I get my silver tubing from Indian Jewelry Supply, but I know Ginko on Etsy has sold tubing that works well for the Jim Moore.

The stamping happens on the bead cap. The core itself acts as merely a rivet to hold the caps on each end.
