Default Marmorin Moretti

Hi folks, I've just recently bought some Moretti Marmorim glass rods, which are proving to be a total disappointment. They are beige in colour, but the image on the website shows a fabulous metallic luster, plummy red. I have tried a neutral flame, a propane rich flame, striking.... all with no luck, it stays a rather boring netural colour. Has anyone had any luck with this glass, if so I would love to know how.

Thanks

nope.... doesn't happen. I have no idea how they got the image for the tongue-depressor "tester".... Marmorin and Marmorin Pale don't look anything like the tester samples on the website....

Default Marmion Moretti Image

Hopefully I have successfully uploaded an image of the colour the glass should be..... not the rather boring creamy/beige. I bought it from Franz Glass, but I note that Delphiglass also sell it with the same accompanying picture. Any thoughts?
