Starting construction and was wondering, what would you have in your dream studio?

Make-up air ducted in to the work area so I could keep the room cool in the summer!

A lampwork teaching arena with vent hood and lots of lighting, several torches and oxycon or generators for each torch and natural gas for all.
I dream big.

Whatever size you think you want it... Add 50% more.. You can never have to much space.. Lots of lighting.. A few beautiful woman to message my shoulders between marbles...

Oh my gosh...

Look at the girl in white. Look at her lips. Can we say BOTOX-O-MUNDO!!!

And look at the girl in blue. Look at the crazy look in her eyes. If I woke up at 0300 in the morning and found her staring at me like that...I'd reach for my nightstand handgun quicker-n-heck!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Funny what people find attractive...on a physical level.

Wow. How did this go from dream studio to pinup central thread? (Hmm, I'd blame it on men but I saw the recent comments in the Gods and Goddesses thread). I'm beginning to think some of us lampworkers are potentially undersexed from spending too much time at the torch!

Back to the question:

A space for everything that I may use in the next 3 months Seriously, a dedicated dremel space, dedicated space for packing/shipping supplies, dedicated bead cleaning space, if you have it and use it, dedicate a space for it.

I haven't drooled at enough tools to know to dream beyond the recent studio reno that came true for me! I'm presuming you're asking because you're setting something up. I spent a great deal of time looking at others' studios here on LE and determining what I liked and needed to incorporate once my turn came around. It was invaluable as a resource for my own!

Dawn,
I have checked out your space ALOT. I love the shelves ( found the instructions, thank you) I especially love the kids playing Guitar Hero. Looks familiar.

I tell you what I really regret NOT putting in.
Air conditioning.
I could be down there in my dungeon making beads right now
instead of sitting here under the fan reading.

I'm thinking I'll be getting one of those small portable air conditioning
units.

Bathroom, Lots of Storage like 2-3 TIMES MORE than you can foreseeably EVER see yourself using, and Air conditioning....yep all good things.....oh and no carpet...carpet bad in glass studio.....lol i hurt myself way too much with a carpeted studio, i suggest laminate or bamboo floors, cement floors, or something like that....
