What do I pay my Blowing Employee ?

I have put together a small lamp-working studio to operate with one other artist.
How should I pay him? What is a popular arrangement?
By the hour?(what rate and for how many pieces?)
A Percentage of sales?(what percentage?)
Should we each buy our own glass?
