Default Original Terra Rod Question

Hi! I have 2 rods of original terra that I got from a trusted friend.

I have several more rods that I think are OT but want to be sure.

They are thin like the others, but the others are strictly-I'll call it khaki coloured for lack of better idea right now-strictly khaki. Some of the other ones I have have striations, like bluish or violet and darker green.

All are thin have the same circles and do not look like terra2 or terra 2.1 which are much thicker, blander rod colour and much different centre.

thank you!

OT can vary. Pix would help.

Thanks Liz (I think you go by Liz--if not I'm sorry)~

here's a coupl'a pics...the colours aren't as deep in the pics, the darks have some bluish violet type colours. If these aren't good I can take some tomorrow in the sun.

ETA: If they're not OT, any idea what they are? I've gotten several samplers over the past 6 months, not sure who they came from and these were not labeled.

Yes, Liz (me). Looks like Terra to me, but let someone else weigh in, since I don't have any Terra and I'm just going by pix of it that I've seen. I've no idea what else it could be.

see big smile and a chuckle...'cause I wouldn't know from that either?

I can melt some, in fact plan to today, but I'm not sure whether to keep it or sell some, I saw it go for $10 a rod in the gs.

It's part of that I don't want to waste it on practice beads, and right now they are all still 'practice' beads, and the theory that no glass is wasted.

I also don't have proper ventilation so when I do use silvered glass it's for a bead or two.

thank you.

The rods below are all original terra and you can see how they vary.

thanks everyone, cool...

Dottie, your pictures show the striations of blue/violet I was talkin' about.

I'll search for what it's supposed to do melted.

What is the story with Original Terra? why did they stop making it if it's so beloved?

and why is there terra2 and 2.1, is dh unable to reproduce it?

I didn't torch today, tomorrow, all day....I'm kind of excited!

thanks

Rowyn, DH has been unable to reproduce original terra so that is why there is terra 2 and terra 2.1 and yet another that some think is very much like the original and others do not.
