Default Reactive glass colors

So I'm interested in learning more about what colors will react with silver foil. I am way over my head here but hoping I can make sense. Bullseye has a chart that lists the colors that react with each other - these reactions are based on the chemical content of the glass - such as sulfur and copper and the ones that react with silver are also identified. I am assuming 104 coe is the same?

I have not been successful in finding reference materials that identifies reactive 104 colors. Ivory and opal yellow are the only ones I know about. Is there a chart somewhee or? Also "Silver" glass such as DH are reactive on their own correct - regardless of the color they are combined with? I am happy to research on my own - just a nudge in the right direction would be helpful.

thanks June

The best and most current resource on color reactions is Melanie Grahams Mind Melt blog.

http://melanie-graham.blogspot.com/

There is also a hot off the press book (out of print) that shows and demonstrates color reactions.

In BE Nougat and French Vanilla behave much like Effectre Ivory but a little different.

In 104 ... the list is probably endless as new colors come on board. Silver Pink is another common reactive not on your list.

Have fun exploring!!

Take a look at Arrow Springs 104 - some very tasty stuff there

Soda Lime Times issue for May 2014 is on reactive glass. Here's an index of issues

For your specific question about silver foil or leaf I' ve a picture.
Base is CIM Hades with a layer of silver leaf and then reduced.
Always a pleasure.

You might find something to help you here:

I'm way behind on updates, but this project has been going on for several years.

Regarding silver glass - it is reactive to flame chemistry, and heat/cool cycles. It will also react with sulfur colors to form a gray or muddy border.

A lot of those reactions that bullseye describes translate to 104. Most of the color families have similar components to achieve the colors. There are surprises though, because some rods just aren't what you might think.

This is amazing - just what I was looking for, I love the color index - how fun is that!! Thank you very much. Oh, added some silver pink to my ongoing cart at Frantz - it looks delicious.

Seriously - just Hades and silver can give all of these colors - must try that for sure.
