Default Supplies to make Pull Chains Anyone?

I have a customer asking me if I know where to get the stuff to make these. She also wants to know what size mandrel works best. She wants to buy beads from me but doesn't know if my beads will work. I use 3/32 mandrels. Can anyone give me info?

Thanks so much!

Rose I buy my components from Amazon. Do a search for Lucky Line Products and it will pull up everything you need to make these. I make mine with anysize bead, I make them like a pendant then turn them into a fanpull. Hope this helps.

Rose - I did a buy a looong time ago and still have way more then I will ever use. I'd be happy to sell some (CHEAP) to your customer -- or to you to sell to your customer. But I can't do it until next week...

Some resources already listed here....

http://www.lampworketc.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=182569

Also I think #6 ball chain is the most popular size and I believer 1/8 mandrels is the better size for #6 ball chain... Seem to remember testing 3/32 hole (+ bead release) in bead and #6 chain will not go through it...

Chain size chart found here....

If your customer wants to "string" beads onto #6 ball chain to make a pull, you'll need to make beads on 1/8-inch mandrels to fit over it.

However, if your customer wants to make a pendant-like beady decoration which hangs from a loop connector at the end of a piece of ball chain, you're not limited to a specific hole size.

Rose - I have had good luck at the local hardware store. They have standard gold or silver chain, attachments for existing chain and a loop for adding a pendant. Not expensive.

You folks are GREAT! I've passed this information on to her. She bought a bunch of beads with 3/32 holes so I guess she'll need to learn to wire wrap.
