Default What Do I Call It

Or is it anything special?

I was flipping through TV channels Sunday evening and came across some "TV Marketing" program that was selling beads (natural stone) called "Green Turquoise" ( I know sounds goofy) from a "province" in China.... Was a really nice medium green color in a black matrix...

Today I tried to capture the "concept" in glass, here is several greens and black worked in slight reducing flame (HH) and this is what I came up with..... Note the copper came out of the "copper green"!.... But what to call it. Is it a "organic" color?... Don't really want to use the "Green Turquoise" name as it would be a real rude stealing the name from a "gem stone"....

Note glass is Efferte...

sorry I have no anwser for you, it reminds me of the old glazed mozaic tiles that used to be so prevelant in europe a century plus ago, also reminds me of that one island where the minoians were too. That is what I thought of. very pretty color though

How does "organic jade green" sound to you?

I was going to suggest something mosiac too. Moretti Mosiac green does the black edge thing on ivory and this reminds me of that.

I love the color. It reminds me of Malachite. Black, green, with a hint of blue. Maybe steal a mineral name instead.
