Default enamel stringer

How do I make enamel stringer to make tie die beads with?

I usually just melt the tip of a white rod and dunk it into the enamel a few times depending on how dark I want the petals to be, then pull it out into a stringer. I also twist when I pull the stringer because that creates a nice alternate white and enamel effect.
