So I finally decided it's time for me to start posting some of my boro and I haven't posted anything for a long time as I can never seem to find the time to take pictures and then when I do find the time it's a real PITA!! Well here's a couple and I'm sure you can tell whom influenced these....
Please excuse the pics I'm still working the lighting out...
This one shows more of the true color of the pendent but I really like the way this next picture glows so I'm hoping to find a compromise between the two.

This has been a fabulous S&T! Soooo many gorgeous pieces! I've been trying to get back into boro after Brent's class, these are a few things. The last couple days I've been working on tube implosions (not pictured cuz they blow) and my arm is gonna fall off. lol

Here are a couple pieces I've created lately. I kind of overdosed on hearts so I'm doing whatever comes to mind =) Please pardon the photo quality, still experimenting with getting boro to photograph correctly without sunlight:
You really lose the depth on this one in the photo
<shrug> It's a thing... Imploded Indigo Luster Frit + GA Havana Moon
I've got lots more to take pix of yet.

Beautiful work everyone! Lloyd, is that top one in post #86 chemically etched? It looks like what I get when I use
Armor Etch to see whats under the surface poo color on some of my pieces.

Here are four more cut and polished pendants. The one in the upper right hand corner is the one I polished out for the documentary.

OMG those are beautiful Eric!!!! I have been thinking of doing some coldworking myself, but have been put off by the amount of time to do it. How many hours (cutting & polishing) do you have in each piece, average?

I am not really sure since I do them in batchs. I will save up a bunch of pendants then grind all of them on the first wheel, then go to the second wheel, etc. until I have gone through all 6 wheels and the final polish on the polishing pad. What really stinks is when I get to wheel 3 or 4 and realize that I missed a scratch and have to start over. However, I think maybe 1 hour per pendant on the polishing.

I am encouraged, that's not as much time as I thought. I'll set up some equipment and try it when I get time. Having a full time job doing something else really sucks time out of my days.

ERIC,
Have you ever tried a glass band saw. The shop next door to me had one he used for his glass fusing prep. He let me borrow it for a a project I did about 6 years ago. I used it to cut the face off of the piece, and then I fire polished the piece after that. It would cut your time down to just a few minutes for each piece. I did have to bring my piece back to temp in the kiln, to fire polish it. But this technique was really easy. I was just thinking it might be a better way to go, as opposed to grinding each piece up to 6 times. just my .02 -what do you think?

Thanks for the compliments on the pendants everyone it's taken me a little bit to figure out a good boro strike.
Connie I've been eye balling your etsy store for some new frit blends, yours look so yummy, to make more of these and I'm finding there are not a whole lot of choices out there for boro frit blends.
Marcel that is one "Devilish" heart there!!

Couple marbles from me:
2 Marbles, they're each about 1.5 inches in diameter. As you can see I'm still working on the floral technique but I think I'm getting there
