I haven't ever posted in this thread but I have checked it at least 20 times!! Thanks!

Dark Dark Ivory is one that I don't see. It was strange that they named it ivory because it wasn't Ivory but more of a putty color.
The chocolate brown opal yellow was my favorite OY so far.

Vetrofond Odds - additions and more info

791902 – Mosaic Green
Much like Effetre Mosaic green. Looks tanslucent in the rod but tends to opacify.

791909 – Pale Emerald Green
Much like Effetre 031 – but cheaper! Nice color!

937 Perfecto Orange Transparent (strikes 2007)
791937 – Arancio Perfecto (Perfect Orange) – well only some of the batch – some strikes nice to a med trans orange – other rods nothing at all.

791971 – I think was just called Sapphire – same color as Streaky Sapphire, without the etched look and no streaks.

978A Crystal Green (second batch, not at neony)
I had this one listed as 791988 – Pale Green Crystal

791984 – Pale Moss Agate – haven’t tried it – Dk Green outer (almost black) with lighter green core.

I keep a labels file in WordPerfect with all of the numbers and all of the colors I know of. I use it to print labels for my rods. I have a lot of glass from 4-5 years ago and there are a few that fill in some gaps in the wonderful list on this thread. I have not listed every variation of some colors (the letter suffixes) because the corals made me crazy and I was more concerned with getting the numbers right.

I'll print my lists below so that, if any of you want to paste it into Word or WordPerfect to make an inventory sheet or labels file, it's all in one place.

And, please, if any of you can fill in MY gaps, or if you see mistakes, please let me know. Many of these numbers were taken right off the rods. Others were filled in by Jaime at Frantz. (Thanks, Jaime!)

Thanks Barb for updating this list. Isn't it crazy how many odd lots there are?

Actually, what REALLY makes me crazy is wondering what wonderful colors went with those numbers that are no longer in the sequence. We know, for example, that Effetre 591071 Yellow Green handmade replaced the formerly machine-made 591032, but what of the others?

I'll bet that some of those people who have been melting and collecting glass much longer than I have real treasures lurking in their glass racks.

When I reviewed the list that Jaime sent me, I saw that a lot of discontinued numbers no longer appeared there, though they were on my list and still in my glass rack, like streaky pink. I wonder if Frantz maintains an archive of old, no-longer-used numbers. I'd love to get hold of it if they do.

Life is funny. I used to collect baseball cards and remember being driven to have every one in a series. <sigh> Those were SO much less costly...

Barb

ETA: One color that I know is missing from my Vetrofond list is the dark dark ivory. I have a lot of it, but I just haven't remembered to go down to my studio and pull its number. I'll post it here when I get it unless someone comes up with it first.

Holy cow. No wonder I ran out of empty slots in my glass rack. LOL!

Nice work, you guys! I label every rod. I'm crazy.

Thanks for the list Barb! I'm becoming a rod labeler!

FWIW, Effetre 409 is not really an odd lot. It was just discontinued.
I have some of it somewhere...

That's strange...I could have sworn that it was sold as an odd lot, along with streaky pink and cherry red (which I think we need to add to the list!) and a pale pink. Those were the first odd lots I ever remember being sold as such. I remember Mike Frantz saying that 409 wasn't supposed to be translucent, that it was a mistake.

The cherry red was #591435, I think. Funny I never hear anyone mention it...it was pretty. I still have a lb. or so (and I'm not selling! ).

My Effetre 409 was at the very least sold to me as an Odd. I copy my numbers and names for my database straight from the rod tags and/or the invoice. I bought mine from Frantz. Yeah. I keep track of where everything comes from, too. LOL!

ETA: Apparently it was on the regular list at Frantz, then got moved to the Odd Lots section of the catalog, then was listed as discontinued:

I bow before the godesses of organization and labelling! I'm so not worthy!!

But really, thanks Barb for sharing your list. Very impressive!

These beautifully organized lists so appeal to the OCD side of me, but they're so long the ADD side of me will never let me do anything with them...

Ah, well, a girl can dream, can't she? I'm going to print them out as a tribute to the organization that is possible, even if just out of my reach!

The real thanks go to Carol (Ms. Giggles) who started this thread in the first place. Had she not done so, my lists would have had many more gaps in them!

I've actually gotten a few more entries for the lists and will update them once I get down to my studio to check a few more numbers. Maybe we should have a permanent updatable list as a sticky. If we do, I can add my lists of Lauscha, ASK, Precision/R4, Kugler, Reichenbach, Double Helix, Check....

Gaaaaa! I remember when there were only a few, and no odds, and only a handful of sellers, and new colors were as rare as streaky pink! I didn't have to do labels then. Just one glue-on chart above my glass rack did the trick just fine. Not now!!!

Corri? Bueller?

Thank you for the lists. I am just starting to organize the mess of glass, by color, by maker? who knows? Marking/labeling.

This is just what I was looking for!

I wish my Australian supplier would put numbers on their oddlots - I have two versions of Silk from them and I know the first one is the one on the list above, but I don't know what the second one corresponds to (it's much more opaque, just short of being an alabaster really).

That one was not numbered - it was a transluscent ivory that we asked Frantz to look for after noticing that some of the rods were not opaque. Frantz pulled the extreme end of the variation out and sold it in 1/4 pound lots but I do not believe there was a different number for it - I don't think it was ever even on the site, only the newsletter

Default 420-PO

I have one here that I don't see on the list. It's marked 420-PO. Does anyone know what shade of coral that is called??

What happens as i think someone mentioned. When the glass comes in from Italy in it's 20kg bundles there is more often than not variations within that single bundle. This was the case with the silk and a more recent example was the Salmon v watermelon odd. These two colours came from exactly the same bundles however were seperated after being received from Italy and sold as different products. Therefore....no separate number ...they are one and the same. Having been an Aussie lampworker for around 5+ years i am sure if you spoke to who supplied you the glass they would be on the ball enough to tell you what number it should be (if it isn't on their website already)

Kind Regards

Monica

I'll de-lurk to add a few more vetro odds from 2005:
904 Dark Dark Ivory
907 Dirty White (later called Light or Pale Ivory, if I remember correctly?)
914 Green Emerald Light transparent
916 Green Emerald Dark transparent

I'm just OCD enough to label every rod, and keep an Excel inventory. It's a sickness, really.

I haven't updated this list for awhile, so if anyone has new odd colors that they know of that would be a help. I think for now, that we won't add the Oddly Odds as really they are the same odds and the numbers are the same also.
