Default FURNACE GLASS - how to?

I am wanting to get into making furnace glass beads and have the basic idea of it all but want actual pictures - I hate wasting glass! Anyone have good pics or can direct me, also any tips would help too!

Mingo and Asho describe how they make their beads on their website, in both words and pictures. HTH

Are you asking about pulling tubing for blown beads or chevron beads?

oohh I don't know what a chevron bead other than it is the place I fill my Durango up with gas. I spent Saturday in the studio pulling cane and made some "furance glass" rods. It worked!! Now I have to figure out how to fire polish them properly. Know I know why they are so expensive!!

Hi Michelle

I think they use a rock tumbler to polish the ends don't they? They sure don't put one bead at a time back in the glory hole!

Some use a tumbler with a polishing compound but I figure I would just fire polish them in the kiln. I have not done this yet and have a piece of the cane staring me in the eye.

One more thing to do.
