Default Gas hoses gas only?

Hi,

Is it possible to buy just a propane hose?
I am using an oxycon and only need the hose for propane.

You need a hose from your oxycon to your torch also.

yes, it is possible to get both propane and O2 hose separately at most welding supply stores.

yes, but how are you hooking it up to the torch? You still have to have a hose from the oxycon to the torch.

possibly, but I don't get why he just doesn't buy a set since he has to use a hose for the oxy anyway.

Welding supply shops (Air Gas, Air Liquide) and others supply cut to length hoses for acetylene. Be sure to get the "T" rated hose as propane will damage an "R" rated acetylene hose. If nothing else, you can separate the red and green hose and use the green for your oxygen needs if you have to buy the hose in a pair. Home Depot does not sell the "T" rated welding hose.

I know the oxy con needs to be hooked up to the torch, does it hook up with the same hose that would be used for tank oxygen?

I will need the gas hose and whatever oxy hose I use to be seperated since the oxycon will be inside and the propane outside.

Yes, the green hose is oxygen. You can use it with either tank or oxycon

Siamese or twin or duplex welding hose (red + green) can be separated , remove brass band and carefully pull apart, maybe some help from utility knife but what ever you do be gentle...

As somebody else mentioned it should be "T" rated hose (good for all fuel gases) ...
