Puritan Bennet problem
Hello,
I have a Puritan Bennet Companion 590i concentrator.
I can work with it about 20 min. and then "Below normal-light" lights up...
If I continue the machine shuts down.
I cleaned the first "foam" filter, it was not dusty and other filters I have ordered.
What can I do next ?
I could not find any place of service here in Finland...

Are you working outside in a shed or garage? They hate humidity. I worked in a shed and our damp UK weather wasnt great for my ones. In the end, i moved them into the house and would use a long hose out of the window into my shed when i was working. They were much happier inside and would stay on a green light all the time

There are other filters I am thinking.
There is usually two filters on the input, one for the big stuff ( hair and dust bunnies and such) and another for teeny tiny air borne floaters that you can sometimes see in the sunshine near the window.
Because my Invacare units are medical grade they have yet a third filter just before the out put that is microbial and that one keeps the unit from sending anything to a sick patient.
I can see a filter with pores that small getting clogged especially if there is mid to high levels of humidity.
Maybe a phone call during business hours to one the oxycon retailers here on LE would be worth the cost.
Are you willing to take the cover off and follow instructions over the phone to disconnect parts and see it things change?
Good luck and please lets us know what you find out.

Thank´s guys,
I work inside our house, so the moisture or the temperature is not a problem.
I opened the consentrator and that foam inside ( sound insulation ? ) is very brittle (?).
I cleaned the crumbs and I will change those I easily can...
And now I am waiting the new filters, they may be a problem

Do be careful with the hoses in these things.
Often the plastic can get brittle as well and they can crack just looking at them wrong after a number of years.
Usually they get over hauled every four years and the hoses get replaced then.
If they do break you can find replacement hose at just about any hardware store these days.

Now we have done what we can ( we replaced the filters and checked the hoses , fan is working )
The concentrator is working normally at least 2,5 hours. The yellow light comes on after 20 minutes – still...Maybe I can just forget it
