Venus/Goddess/Woman carvings have been done for millenia.

35,000 years just kind of blows my mind. Whatever the reasons, fertility, empowerment, or just celebrating a woman's body whether or not it can bring forth life and nourishment...I totally get it. And that we as beadmakers or glass sculptors want to do it too just seems natural.
I've made a few and own one or two.

I love the challenge in sculpting realistic Goddess beads which are great sellers for me. I have had midwives ask me to make pregnant ones for them.
