For 37 years I have used a plain old Victor welding torch, with tips that range in size from a single candle flame of 1mm to a multicandle flame with a diamater of 3 inches. The intense heat of the pre-mix torch allows me to do things with the glass that cant be done with a surface mix torch. I also have a Nortel Red Max that I use at times when I dont need the intense heat. But always go back to my trusty welding torch.

Almost every single post in this thread loves their GTT or wishes they had one. I think there in lies your answer of the best Boro torches/ dream torch. For me personally I can't wait to get my mirage.
