how much and where?
I tried making some of my own shards with some success and I will continue (when I have more time to play and experiment). Now I just need to get some shards in my hands to work with on my beads. I have done a little looking on etsy for them, but am not sure what .5 oz. or .2 oz etc... of glass shards looks like. How much should I get? Is .2 enough for lets say liberally decorating 1 large lentil focal or 3 large lentils or more? I have absolutely no clue how much .2 oz is. Can you help? Also, suggestions on where to buy some that you have been happy with? Thanks

Joe at Avenue Beads has great shards too! Two ounces is more than enough to decorate several large lentils
Here's the link to Joe's etsy store:

Cheers

Joe's shards are terrific! 2 oz goes a long way.

To clarify--I think both of those sellers have decimal points...Joe's first listing says ".5 oz" and in the text, he refers to a half of an ounce, and Purple Lily has a decimal point also, so I think she is selling .2 oz not 2 oz...or 1/5 of an ounce. Obviously, the person to ask would be the seller, though!-Gail

I just got some shards, and it seems that even 1 oz (or whatever it is, one order-able size) is enough to decorate a focal or three.
ETA: Avenue Beads let you order .1 oz of shards, and that's what I think was talking about being able to use for a bead or three. Just and uneducated guess.
