Default Dream Beads at Flametree

We had our first Autumn bead event at Flametree Glass in Roswell, GA, yesterday. Maureen and Lance hosted us from 12 to 6 wit open torches and glass on hand in the teaching studio yesterday. we cleaned up the beads this afternoon and ended up with 104 special beads for the Celebration of courage at Egeston and Scottish rite hopsital later this week. Thanks to Flametree for the great support and to everyone who showed up on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to make these great beads.

Robert

The Dream Beads come around once a year. Each child gets a postcard that says "If I could have my Dream Bead it would look like:___________________." We collect the cards and then try to match each request a closely as we can. Some of them get pretty detailed and it can be a real challenge. They are distributed to the kids at a Celebration of Courage event at the hospitals. Southern Flames and friends have ended up making 130 Dream Beads for our kids here in Atlanta. The Celebration of Courage events at Egelston and Scottish Rite Hospitals in conjunction with the AFLAC duck's 10th birthday and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta were really great. More events are on the way but not on the calendar yet.
